PROCEDURE OVERVIEW

CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) provides a 3D scan of your facial bones, teeth, airway, and jaw joints for diagnostic use. This scan uses low-dose radiation and is especially helpful in assessing TMJ conditions, sinus pathology, and dental structures.

SECTION 2: RADIATION AND SAFETY

CBCT exposes you to a small amount of radiation, generally lower than a medical CT scan but higher than a panoramic X-ray. There is no known harm at this level, but unnecessary exposure should be minimized. Inform us if you are pregnant or may be pregnant.

CONSENT

  1. I understand the purpose and radiation exposure involved in CBCT imaging.

  2. I have had the opportunity to ask questions and all were answered.

  3. I consent to undergo CBCT imaging as recommended.
